B&Company, a market research and consulting firm with offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, proudly announced the official launch of AirData360 (airdata360.com), a comprehensive air quality information portal focused on Vietnam. The platform was created in response to Vietnam’s worsening air pollution, providing residents and stakeholders with easy access to real-time data, historical trends, and health guidance.
Why launch an Air Quality Tool for Vietnam?
Air pollution has become a pressing issue in Vietnam’s cities. The country was recently named the second most polluted in Southeast Asia and 22nd worldwide in 2023. Hanoi, in particular, ranked among the world’s top 10 most polluted capital cities[1]. According to B&Company’s analysis of national air monitoring data, Hanoi experienced “good” air quality on only about one-third of days in the first half of 2025[2]. This stark situation underscores the need for a dedicated platform to monitor air quality. By launching AirData360, our creators aim to arm the public with transparent data on when and where air quality is poor, and offer guidance on minimizing exposure during high-pollution periods. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to raise awareness and drive community and policy action on air pollution.

Who can use AirData360?
AirData360 is designed for everyone concerned about clean air – from ordinary citizens and parents to health professionals, educators, and policymakers:
– Residents can check current pollution levels in their city and get health recommendations before heading out.
– Parents and caretakers of sensitive groups (such as children, the elderly, or those with respiratory issues) can find advice on how to reduce exposure on smoggy days.
– Environmental researchers and policymakers can leverage the historical data and trends to support studies or formulate clean-air policies.
The platform is available in English, Vietnamese, and Japanese, making it accessible to local users as well as the international community or expats living in Vietnam. Whether you are planning your morning jog, managing a school’s outdoor activities, or drafting environmental policy, AirData360 provides the data-driven insights you need.
Key features and services
AirData360 offers a rich suite of services and information to help users understand and respond to air quality conditions:
(1) Real-time and historical air quality data: The portal aggregates live air quality index (AQI) readings from monitoring stations across Vietnam, updating continuously to keep users informed of the current pollution level in their area. In addition, it provides historical data records – users can explore past air quality statistics by hour, day, or month, revealing how conditions have changed over time at each location. This combination of real-time and archival data allows for both immediate awareness and long-term trend analysis.
(2) Health recommendations: To help the public minimize exposure to pollution, AirData360 provides practical health and safety guidance alongside the data. Depending on the AQI level, the platform suggests protective measures – for example, wearing masks or limiting outdoor exercise on “Unhealthy” days. It offers specialized advice for sensitive groups such as young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with asthma or heart conditions. These health recommendations align with international guidelines, empowering users to take appropriate precautions when air quality is poor.
(3) Interactive Maps and Visualizations: AirData360 features an interactive map of Vietnam that highlights air quality readings in different localities, so users can visualize pollution hotspots and clean-air zones at a glance. The map and charts are color-coded by AQI level (e.g., green for “Good”, red for “Unhealthy”), providing an intuitive overview of where pollution is highest. Users can click on cities or monitoring stations to see detailed metrics and graphs. Additionally, the platform offers charts and heatmaps showing air quality fluctuations over hours, days, and months, helping users easily spot patterns or sudden changes in their area.

This heatmap of daily air quality in Hanoi (January–July 2025) shows how frequently each day fell into “Good” (green), “Moderate” (yellow), or worse pollution categories. AirData360’s extensive data allows users to visualize such trends over time, identifying patterns like seasonal pollution peaks.
Key strengths of AirData360
Beyond its core features, AirData360 brings several distinctive advantages that set it apart from other air quality apps and websites:
– Vietnam-focused and localized: AirData360 is tailored specifically to Vietnam’s environment. Unlike global air quality platforms that cover the whole world, AirData360’s exclusive focus on Vietnam means that data from all across the country is aggregated and highlighted in one place. The portal reflects the on-the-ground situation in Vietnamese cities, from Hanoi’s winter smog to the seasonal burning in the Mekong Delta, without distraction from global data. It is a one-stop resource for Vietnam’s air pollution information, curated for the needs of Vietnamese communities.
– Comprehensive coverage: The platform integrates data from every official monitoring station in Vietnam, ensuring no region is left out. Whether a user is checking a major urban center or a smaller provincial town, they can find up-to-date AQI readings if monitors are present there. This comprehensive nationwide coverage allows for meaningful comparisons between different locations and a complete picture of air quality across the country at any given time.
– High granularity and trend insights: AirData360 provides a level of detail that helps uncover pollution trends and patterns. Users can access hour-by-hour AQI charts for each day, or average monthly AQI levels, observing how air quality changes within days, seasons, or over the years. By analyzing this rich dataset, users and experts can identify statistically significant patterns – for instance, pinpointing the times of day when pollution typically peaks, or which months tend to have the cleanest air in different regions, thereby making more informed plans (such as scheduling outdoor events when air is usually cleaner)

– User-friendly design: Despite handling large amounts of data, AirData360 is designed to be simple and intuitive for the public. The interface uses clear visual elements like color-coded indices, charts, and maps so that even non-experts can quickly grasp the information. The website is optimized for both desktop and mobile use, allowing people to check air quality on the go. With content available in Vietnamese and English, users can easily navigate the portal in their preferred language. This user-centric approach lowers the barrier to accessing air quality data, ensuring that the information is not just comprehensive but also comprehensible to a wide audience.
AirData360 is expected to support not only individual decision-making (such as for events, schedules,…) but also broader efforts like academic research and government policy. Our creators hope that widespread use of this tool will increase public awareness and galvanize collective efforts to improve air quality in Vietnam. Currently available as a beta version, AirData360 is slated for continued enhancement ahead of its official release. In the meantime, interested users can access the portal free of charge at airdata360.com and explore real-time air quality in their area.
