04-07-2014 In May 2014, Ho Chi Minh City inported a value of USD 2,200.4 million. Among that, non-state business imported USD 1,243.9 million, accounting for 57% of the city’s import value. In comparison with April, the city’s import value showed a little change. Similarly, in the first 5 months of 2014, the import value nearly unchanged in comparison with the same period last year. 10-11-2014 Total retail sales of goods and services in Ho Chi Minh City in the first 6 months of 2014 reached VND 54,595 billion, increased by 2.8% and 15.4% respectively compared to last month and the same period of 2013.Some of goods had higher growth rate than last month including household utensils (6%), cars and transpoｒtation (20%), petroleum (4.1%), and other fuels (7.3%), etc. The total retail sales of goods and services of Vietnam in the first 6 months was estimated to reach VND 312,147 billion, increase 12.8% compared to the same period last year. 20-06-2014 In 2013, the quantity if foreigners’ visits reached 7.5 millions. Among those, 61.3%  came on the purpose of tourism. In the first 5 months of 2014, the visit number was over 3.7 millions, increasing by 26.1% in comparision with the same period last year.  In terms of origin, three countries paid the most number of visits in Vietnam were from Asia. 11-08-2014 In 5/2014, Vietnam retail sales of goods and services reached 240,272.6 billion VND (about 11.3 million USD), increasing by 0.6% in comparison with last month. By calculating with that number, in the first 5 months of 2014, total of retail sales and services was 1,178,981.9 billion VND (over 55 million USD). To compare with the same period in 2013, the figure shows a light increase of 11%. About types of ownership, the largest contribution was from Non-state businesses with 86.5% value in 5 months. 14-11-2014 Total exports value of all of the enterprises in June 2014 was estimated to be USD 2,646.4 billion, decreased 1.2% compared to last month, but increased 13.9% compared to the same period last year.
