On August 5, 2026, the Kobe City Tech Innovation Forum in Hanoi was successfully held at Hotel Du Parc Hanoi, bringing together representatives from Kobe City, Japanese technology companies, Vietnamese organizations, and local businesses to explore opportunities for technology and business collaboration between Kobe and Vietnam.

B&Company Vietnam was pleased to support the organization and coordination of the event as part of the Kobe City Vietnam Business Mission 2026.

The forum provided a platform for companies from Kobe to introduce their technologies and solutions to the Vietnamese market, while enabling direct exchanges with Vietnamese companies on potential business partnerships, technology cooperation, market development, and supply-chain opportunities.

Connecting Kobe’s Technology Companies with Vietnam

The event opened with remarks from the Kobe Overseas Business Center, followed by guest remarks from representatives of Vietnam’s trade promotion authorities. Representatives from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) also participated in the program.

The first session introduced Kobe City and its business environment, including its industrial strengths and support infrastructure for companies seeking international business opportunities.

The main session featured presentations by seven Kobe-based companies, covering technologies and solutions across environmental equipment, test marketing, precision manufacturing, industrial automation, food ingredients, aerospace components, and safety equipment.

The participating companies were:

1. GIKO – industrial and environmental equipment, including carbonization and resource-recovery solutions
2. adlibworks – “Grab&Go,” a smart locker-based test-marketing service
3. YUKI Precision – precision machining and manufacturing for space, aerospace, and medical applications
4. KOSMEK – precision equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and automation solutions
5. Nippon Koryo Yakuhin – food flavorings, stabilizers, and food colorings
6. ONAGA – high-precision machining for aircraft, aircraft engines, and industrial gas turbines
7. Air Water Safety Service – breathing apparatus, firefighting equipment, and medical and safety equipment

From Technology Introduction to Direct Business Exchange

Following the company presentations, the forum moved into a networking session where participating companies from Kobe and Vietnam were able to communicate directly and discuss potential areas of cooperation.

The discussions covered a broad range of possibilities, including market development, technology cooperation, manufacturing collaboration, procurement and sales partnerships, and participation in regional supply chains. The event therefore served not only as an opportunity to introduce technologies, but also as a practical starting point for identifying potential business partnerships between companies from the two sides.

The forum concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tam, Director of the SME Support Center, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). The closing message emphasized the importance of creating practical opportunities for Vietnamese companies, particularly SMEs, to access international technologies, partners, and expertise, while continuing to strengthen business exchanges between Vietnam and Kobe.
