The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hanoi Office has officially launched the “Hanoi Japanese Business Ecosystem Project”, a new initiative designed to support Japanese companies in expanding their business operations and sales networks across Vietnam.

This project aims to build a stronger ecosystem for Japanese enterprises already operating or planning to enter the Vietnamese market by providing access to business information, institutional collaboration, and exclusive networking opportunities. Through this initiative, JETRO Hanoi seeks to create a dynamic platform that enhances business development and fosters long-term partnerships between Japanese and local companies.

The Hanoi Japanese Business Ecosystem Project offers:

– Information sharing and coordination with local organizations and relevant institutions.

– Exclusive seminars and networking events open only to registered members.

– Continuous support to help participating companies explore business potential in Vietnam’s growing market.

Participation in this initiative is free of charge and open to Japanese companies or representative offices that meet specific registration criteria (see below).

Seminar Schedule (Vietnam Time)

Registered members will be invited to attend a series of specialized online seminars covering key industries and market insights in Vietnam:

– October 27, 2025 (Mon), 16:00–17:00
Electric Vehicles, Motorbikes, and Public Transportation

– November 17, 2025 (Mon), 16:00–17:00
Retail and Distribution Structure

– December 8, 2025 (Mon), 16:00–17:00
Pharmaceutical Industry: Manufacturing and Sales

– January 19, 2026 (Mon), 16:00–17:00
Healthcare Industry: Hospitals, Nursing Care, Welfare, and Medical Equipment

Registration Requirements

Eligible participants include:

– Applicants must have a local subsidiary or representative office in Vietnam.

– Eligible participants are Japanese-affiliated companies or representative offices of Japanese companies that meet the following conditions:

For Japanese-affiliated companies:

– A foreign corporation (subsidiary) with 10% or more Japanese capital investment.

– A foreign corporation (second-tier subsidiary) in which a subsidiary with more than 50% Japanese capital ownership holds more than 50% of the shares.

For branches or representative offices:

– The headquarters must be a Japanese company.

– The company must be seeking to expand its sales channels in the northern and central regions of Vietnam.

– In the case of a representative office, it must be exploring the potential for exports from its Japanese headquarters.

※ Registration may close once capacity is reached.

※ The project runs until March 31, 2026.
