Most leading venues are operated by global hospitality groups like IHG, Marriott, Four Seasons, and Banyan Tree, which provide world-class facilities and bespoke wedding packages tailored for both Indian and Northeast Asian clients.

• Most of them are located along the coast and suitable for outdoor banquets. Nine out of ten venues lie along Vietnam’s main beaches (Da Nang – Hoi An, Nha Trang–Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc, Lang Co, Con Dao, Ha Long). These venues often have private lawns or beachfront areas, making it easy to set up outdoor stages and ideal for large buy-out weddings.

Vietnam’s luxury wedding market offers promising opportunities driven by the rise of Indian and Northeast Asian clients, the 90-day e-visa policy for all nationalities, and favorable regulations that allow up to 100% foreign ownership in the hotel sector (CPC 64110) through new establishment or M&A[15]. Key destinations such as Da Nang–Hoi An, Nha Trang–Cam Ranh, and Phu Quoc stand out for their five-star resorts, good international air connectivity, and strong local government support for wedding tourism.

However, investors should note that Vietnam does not permit direct land ownership. Land must be accessed through land-use rights (lease or sub-lease) for up to 50 years, extendable under Vietnamese law[16]. Companies organizing international wedding events are also subject to a security deposit requirement under Decree 168/2017/NĐ-CP, while activities such as drone filming require advance approval from defense authorities[17]. To succeed, investors should enter via FDI or M&A, or partner with existing resorts and local agencies for operations.
