The quantity of foreigners' visits in Vietnam (first 5 months of 2014)
20-06-2014 In 2013, the quantity if foreigners’ visits reached 7.5 millions. Among those, 61.3%  came on the purpose of tourism. In the first 5 months of 2014, the visit number was over 3.7 millions, increasing by 26.1% in comparision with the same period last year.  In terms of origin, three countries paid the most number of visits in Vietnam were from Asia. China ranked first with 25% visits in 2013. Moreover, the number of visits from China in the first 5 months of 2014 is nearly 1 million (grows by 43.4% in comparison with the same period last year). Export value in Ho Chi Minh by type of ownership (May, 2014)
09-07-2014 In May 2014, Ho Chi Minh City exported a value of USD 1,835.5 million, divided equally into foreign investment sector and domestic sector. In the latter sector, non-state business exported USD 746.7 million, accounting for 41% of the city’s export value. Despite the limited share of only 10%, state sector’s export value grew by 70% in one month. Main Import Products (2013-5/2014)
06-06-2014 In 2013, the import value of Vietnam reached 131,312 million USD, increasing by 15% in comparision with 2012. Machinery tools and spare parts and Electronics, computers and accessories were imported most in 2013 with 14% and 13%, respectively, of total value. Besides, Telephones of all kinds  and accessories showed the fastest growth in value at about 60% year on year. Retail sales of goods and services (first 5 months of 2014)
11-08-2014 In 5/2014, Vietnam retail sales of goods and services reached 240,272.6 billion VND (about 11.3 million USD), increasing by 0.6% in comparison with last month. By calculating with that number, in the first 5 months of 2014, total of retail sales and services was 1,178,981.9 billion VND (over 55 million USD). To compare with the same period in 2013, the figure shows a light increase of 11%. About types of ownership, the largest contribution was from Non-state businesses with 86.5% value in 5 months. Exports value by economic sectors of HCMC in the first 6 months of 2014
14-11-2014 Total exports value of all of the enterprises in June 2014 was estimated to be USD 2,646.4 billion, decreased 1.2% compared to last month, but increased 13.9% compared to the same period last year. In the first 6 months of 2014, exports value reached USD 14,182 billion, rised by 5.7% compared to the same period last year. 08-08-2014 GDP of Ho Chi Minh city in the first 6 months this year is estimated at about 378.915 billion VND ( at current price), it has risen 8.2% compared with the same period in 2013 which was 7.9% and 8.1% in 2013 and 1012 respectively. 18-12-2014 Import value of HCMC enterprises in June’14 was estimated to reach USD 2,302 million, deceased by 4.2% compared to the last month and 14.4% compared to the same period of 2013. Laptop and mobile phone continued to be the most popular devices to access Internet in big cities (60% and 50% respectively). The status of e-commerce websites in Vietnam 2013
25-12-2014 Generally, in 164 e-commerce service websites participating in the survey, the main model was primarily online store (60%). The following were classified advertisement (45%), buying in group (19%) and forum (18%). 78% of e-commerce service websites were established by their own budget, 14% by the state budget and 8% of them received from the foreign investment capital. Clothing, footwear, cosmetics were the most commonly sold products on the e-commerce websites, accounted for 79% of surveyed sites.
